Glimpses

I hope one day 

You let me see your scars. The ones hidden in layered blush tones, Covering false perfections 

And made-up exteriors. 

My eyes capture glimpses of the scrapes, and it is here, I witness your soul in her purest and truest beauty.  I’ve felt the beginnings of your injuries in the stillest sunsets.  I’ve soothed the fire, the embers of fear, lining your gowns and visiting your dreams.  The times where my heart stitches your wounds and our beings so seamlessly unite in blissful divinity. The intensity, brief and glorious- like the moon dazzling the sky then quickly retracting under protective clouds. I wish one day you shine longer, see your entirety as full and bold and stunning as the brightest star.
